Two-Man Summer League: Week 3 Report

Two-Man Summer League.

Week 3, 23rd May 2017

The closest match of the week saw Smooth Timbers lose to a rejuvenated 70’s revisited side. Both Nigel Metcalfe and Ian Johnstone beat Jordan Wood but were then beaten by Steve Silk. The doubles was always going to be crucial and 70’s proved too strong, winning in four ends for a good 3-2 win.

The Beaumont Boys went down to Westfield Relics 4-1 with Rouman Stefanov winning both of his games comfortably. Mark Beaumont, returning after injury, had a great win over Geoff Cummings to win the consolation point.

Westfield Wrens easily beat The C Challenge, with both Dan Smalley and Nicole Bird comfortably despatching of Matt Rushton and Steve Hobbs, the result being a 5-0 whitewash.

The Current Chumps claimed their third successive whitewash against a hard done by Howards Way. Matt (bigshot) Horrocks lost in 5 ends to Richard Elliott, with Nick Howard taking an end of Richard. Andy Trott won both his matches three straight.
